Just one of the many great things about living in Washington is the Olympic Peninsula. On the peninsula is a rare national park that has been declared an actual rain forrest. In addition to the Olympic National Park, which is home to all sort of outdoor enthusiast, the peninsula also home local winery’s and farms.
For this photo adventure i took off Friday night and headed west to Port Angeles. I had planned to hike Hurricane Ridge but the man at the front desk of the hotel (also works for the parks dept.) said that the ridge is still covered in snow. So with a slight change in plans i decided to hike around Lake Crescent and the Sol Duc Valley area. For all you Twilight fans, the Sol Duc Valley is home to Forks, WA where Twilight takes place. Hard to get anymore North West than that unless you go to Canada or Alaska. I haven’t made it to Forks yet, but hopefully the next time i’m out on the peninsula. Apparently it has become quite the tourist attraction.
